Your savings over time, in today's dollars

This is constant-rate scenario math, not a forecast or advice. Real returns vary year to year, so real results can differ a lot. Contributions go in at the start of each month. Withdrawals come out on the same schedule and rise with inflation. Other income (if any) also rises with inflation and reduces how much you need from savings. Tax is a single flat rate you choose: on the whole withdrawal for a traditional account, on the gain above your average cost basis for a taxable account, and none for a Roth. Early-withdrawal penalties and required minimum distributions are not modeled. Nothing you enter on this page is sent to us or saved.

These calculators provide estimates for general information only and are not tax, legal, or investment advice. Talk with us about your situation.
